Ok, so I have started this new feed, and think I’ll be linking it to my FB, LJ, and where ever else I see fit later.

Most of the pictures I’ll post will either be my own, or other cakes I find either inspirational, funny, a hilarious catastrophe, fun, or just downright amazing.

I am young in the cake world, and have only been doing this as a viable business for about a year. Friends pushed me to sell my amazing tasting cakes, and the beautification process came long after. However, beauty is almost as high as flavour to me these days. And that says a lot, because after all…what is the point of having cake if it doesn’t taste good!?! =D

I think I’ll share recipes sometimes (though NOT all of them), but mostly just decorating stuff.

I have 3 cakes in the works currently…a cherry blossom cake, a beach cake, and a sombrero cake.

The cherry blossom cake will be branches of cherry blossoms on a pale (VERY pale) green fondant base. The cake itself will be vanilla bean cake with a chocolate mousse filling.

The Beach cake will be a butter cream cake with sugar “sand”, piping gel “water”, and assorted palm trees and other beachy things. The cake itself will be red velvet with cream cheese filling.

And finally the sombrero is going to be a burgundy base, and very flashy! The cake hasn’t been decided on, and I have to figure out whether i want to to fondant or butter cream!
